Hi Carlos,

Based on my own experience first of all you must have updated the operating system applying all the patches via Windows Update.

If the installation crashes you should check the TMP variable in the OS properties to see if that location exists. If the Temp folder defined in the operating system is not found many program installers may crash during installation with no error message.

To check the Tmp variables of the operating system right click on My Computer icon and select Properties. Then go to Advanced Options and press the Environment Variables button left below under section Start and recover (or something like that. I own the Spanish version of Windows and I,m doing a free translation into English that may differ from the original words).

Check the value for TMP and TEMP variables and search if that location exists and you have full access (writing/reading).

If everything is ok I would recommend you to reinstall Windows and install all the updates. Apart from the explained above I don,t know any other logical reason for this problem.
