Import from DXBase2007
I have been sent a database file from the son of my SK friend Mathias LA5NM, who used to be the qsl manager of JW5E, a role that I have now inherited.  I am allready working on a Swisslog database for JW5E, and it would be helpful if the qsos contained in the DXBase database could be incorporated in the database I have created. The problem is that DXBase is no longer supported online, and I am not able to make it work on my computer. Has anyone on the forum any experience with this?

RE: Import from DXBase2007
Hi Tom,

Send me the DXbase database and your JW5E database and I will give it a try. Zip all database and send them to support@swisslogforwindows.com. If file size is very big use wetransfer.com.

RE: Import from DXBase2007
I managed to get the database opened, and got the ADIF file exported, so that problem was solved  It appears that all the qsos, about 2800, were already in the database.  I tested an import, and it worked OK, except that the operator, JW5NM, is not substituted even though I am using the location profile (myQTH) for him. The QSL-R and QSL-S are updated as they should.

In the JW5E database most (all) of these are now assigned to the general club call JW5E and not Mathias JW5NM  It is not a big deal, but I was surprised that the <OPERATOR> was not overwritten when importing these qsos. I can change it by editing each qso, of course, but it is simply too much work doing this manually, so if it is not possible to do this when importing, so be it.

RE: Import from DXBase2007
PS. I made a new "test" database with the adi-file from DXBase, and imported them with the JW5NM qth definition, and that looks good. What will happen if I import this database directly to the JW5E database? Is there any chance that the <OPERATOR> will be overwritten?
