local time vs UTC

Hi

I going to switch my old paper logbook to swisslog. In those time I wrote my QSO in local time.

So the question is : how to input a QSO with local time and get automatiquely the UTC time in the log.

Hi Bruno,

There is no automatic mode. You can use this website to know the exact date when time was changed from winter to summer (-1 or -2):

It's in Spanish but if you use Google Chrome you can translate automatically to French. In the link you set the initial year to display all dates when time was changed. Simply set the year of your first QSO and you will know the exact date when time was changed. Once you know this simply substract 1 or 2 hours in the local time you set in the QSO and enter the QSO in Swisslog. At the end of this website you can select more years. It's the perfect website you need to do your job!

Hello,

You need to understand that the automatic solution you want it's very difficult, because date changes every year. This web helps a lot! First find out the date of change for every specific year of the QSOs you need to enter (only 2 dates for year). Afterwards mark these dates with a line in your logbook with a pencil then write -1 or -2 on every page, depending whethert it's winter or summer time. Once you have done this for all the years in your paper logbook you can start entering QSOs in Swisslog. With these marks in your logbook you will clearly see how much you need to substract in the time of every QSO (1 or 2 hours).
