Making a DX announcement from the Add QSO window - JW6VDA - 21-07-2019 Now, a hopefully trivial question. I've set up oh1ab.dy.fi, port 8000, dxspider, as my DX cluster, and I receive spots okay and they populate the bandmap window. If I want to make a spot myself, I have tried using the button in th "Add QSO" window, but that does not send out the announcement. I have been reading the manual intensively, but this is not covered, as far as I can see, anyway. So what am I missing here? Enclosed are the screen dumps. They were too large, Jordi, I'll send them in Whatsapp. 73 de Tom RE: Making a DX announcement from the Add QSO window - on6cc - 22-07-2019 Hello Tom, An announcement is made from the button 'Send Ann' in the 'Server programma' window: https://photos.app.goo.gl/BA67KY3EJjE6WCw39 https://photos.app.goo.gl/TA9egD4neKFApnZz7 You can make a worldwide announcement or a lokal one 73's Marc, ON6CC RE: Making a DX announcement from the Add QSO window - JW6VDA - 22-07-2019 Thanks. I already did that, but Jordi gave me a simpler solution, so now I use the Announce button in the Input qso window: From Jordis message: "Go to Options - Connect to Packet Program. In the Selection tab select NONE as packet program to be used. Close and restart Swisslog. Now you will be able to send spots in the selected Telnet user un the integrated Telnet function." It works like a charm! 73 de Tom OH6VDA |
